Tapa King proudly opens its new flagship store at Starmall EDSA-Shaw in Mandaluyong City, offering a more spacious and inviting casual dining experience with a fresh new look.
Franchisees Leo Gellor, Atty. Francis Magistrado, and Atty. Mickey Ortega celebrated their new home with a store blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 31, 2025. Tapa King’s Board of Director Julius R. Magallanes, Chief Operating Officer Melodina P. Isaguirre, and former Senator Manny Villar were also present during the event, along with Tapa King’s Management Committee.
Located in one of the busiest areas in the metro, which attracts a large number of commuters and shoppers, this newly designed two-storey branch—with a seating capacity of 72—embodies the new “home away from home” concept. The updated interior design features bright, colorful scenery that captures the beauty of the Filipino countryside, complemented by an elevated, moss-green bar counter at the center of the store. Smaller mural frames located beside the main mural and inside the second-floor function room depict relatable Pinoy characters, evoking the warmth of a traditional Filipino home.
Four years after its brand revamp in 2021, Tapa King continues to refresh its store designs while staying true to its signature warm, sunlit ambiance, emphasizing its all-day breakfast offerings. Beyond breakfast, the brand now offers an expanded menu, including Pinoy Grill Classics (Chicken Barbecue, Inihaw na Liempo, Chicken Inasal) and Homestyle Specials (Tapareta, Tapacao, Lechon Kawali Chopsuey), further elevating the dining experience for its bisitas.
This year, Tapa King is expanding beyond Metro Manila with the opening of new franchise stores at WalterMart Antipolo in Rizal and at Boracay Beachfront Station 1 in Aklan, both set to launch this April. As the brand continues to grow, it remains committed to bringing your Tapa Favorites closer to you while delivering an elevated Pinoy Bisita Hospitality experience.
